DK has always been environmentally conscious at its core. One of DK’s first books was John Seymour’s celebrated Complete Self-Sufficiency, a book still in print after 30 years.

The new Made with Care list takes our brand values of excellence and care, which are at the heart of everything we do, and makes our books the greenest they can be. We’ve asked difficult and searching questions of our suppliers to ensure that these books have been made with the most ethical and environmental production processes possible.

The corollary to this is that we are asking the same searching questions of our suppliers and printers for the whole of DK’s output in our journey towards being as green as possible. We are continuously auditing our suppliers so that we can be sure that our high ethical and environmental standards are met by all those we deal with. We want to be completely open with our consumers about how we make all of our books.
