We have to remind ourselves, the reason why DK is doing this book is the Iceberg: the bit which floats above the water is Wyman's Diary (kept daily and scrupulously for the last 40 years); the bit below the water is Wyman's Collection (assembled equally scrupulously over the same period).
We've already had a taste of the submerged bit.
Richard H gives me a small example of the visible bit of the Iceberg: "Andrew, you know Bill has just sent me 45,000 words extracted from the Diary - just on recording Beggar's Banquet. I have to turn that into 1500 words maximum". And we think we've got problems.
