Your probably feel you have been pregnant forever, and can't wait to meet the little person who is growing inside you. Many women begin to wonder what sort of labour they will have and start to make preparations for the big day. Rest and relax as much as you can.

Your body changes

Put your feet up and enjoy these last few weeks. You may feel fine, but your bump is now so large that it affects all your bodily functions, and your lower abdomen and back may ache if you walk a lot. You hands and feet might be puffy, especially at the end of the day.

Other changes

  • Heartburn, indigestion and breathlessness should lessen.
  • You will need to urinate more often.
  • Hands and feet may be puffy.
  • You will feel tired.

Facts about you:

  • The nesting instinct is often strong; you may feel the urge to spring clean, but don't overdo it.
  • If this is your first baby, heartburn, indigestion, and breathlessness should lessen once the head drops in the pelvis.
  • Your bladder is under pressure, so you may want to urinate more often.
  • You may tire easily, because of poor sleep and the extra weight of the baby.
  • Braxton Hicks contractions may become more frequent and intense.
