'The Americas: Where to Go When’ is a joy to read. It is informative, clearly presented and the colour photos really give a vivid impression of the character and feel of each of the locations. The presentation is also original and easy to follow, being in the form of monthly suggestions for the best places to visit. The suggestions themselves are well selected, the words chosen to describe points of interest within the locations are very inviting and really enhance your awareness of the great potential of entertaining activities and well thought out visit schedules in the form of daily diary type entries. On top of all this, the guide gives information on guideline prices, tells you how to get to the places and what weather to expect. It’s a pleasure to dip into it on a regular basis and just take as much or as little as you like. Personally speaking, this book has whetted my appetite for a visit to the Americas. The only drawback is the amount you would have to pay on luggage surcharge to take the book with you. It’s not small! '

'The Americas: Where To Go And When is a hugely detailed tome offering essential advice for anyone thinking on visiting North or South America. Presented in chronological order, the book offers suggested itineraries for 120 different locations across the continents, detailing the best times to go and the best places to see. You can charter a yacht in the Caribbean in March, or choose a seaside weekend in July on Rhode Island. Alternatively July is a good time to tour Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia when you could stay at the Luna Salada Lodge Hotel, built almost entirely out of salt or how about a short Christmas break in San Antonio, Texas, a surprisingly, and unexpectedly festive destination. The Americas is beautifully illustrated and highlights a great number of locations that people just wouldn’t think of visiting. Added to that a ‘Dos and Don’ts’ section on every page as well as essential information on getting there, weather, accommodation, eating out and prices, this book is the perfect companion for anyone planning a trip across the Atlantic. And as it has been compiled by a team of experts, headed up by TVs Craig Doyle, you know that it covers the places that you really must see, and judging by the stunning photography, all of the 120 locations have the ‘wow’ factor. Covering natural wonders, luxury, romance, adventures and family getaways, this guide definitely has something for everybody, no matter how old, or how young they may be. '

'A very bright, colourful and informative book. A beautiful book for young and old alike, with something for everyone. Examples being:- The picture on pg 94 Diver in Saba (Carribbean) truly stunning. The obvious family fun in Boston for St Patricks Day Pgs 62 - 63. The epitome of in the USA Pg 170 Rockingchair on the porch. Adventure abounds as well, try Honduras Pgs 66 - 67. Suggested/sample itineries for each destination, along with tips on staying safe and how to obtain the most from your travels. Guide prices and website addresses also included to allow for further research after your interest has been aroused by this wonderful tome.'
