Review by: Marian Redmond, 21 December 2008

'This book is full of stunning images, bright colours and clear information. There are close-ups of scary spiders, sly scorpions and monstrous mantids that will grab the attention of any child or adult!
It is sure to appeal to young readers, particularly in younger age groups such as children between 7 to 10 and also to readers who are still mastering the details of literacy.
The comprehensive layout with key symbols, the vivid photographs of animals with their amusing speech bubbles and the wealth and range of knowledge displayed will make this a book that a child can keep throughout their childhood. They can choose to read it section by section or pick one section or use it for research purposes for long after that.
The book would make a welcome present for any child and a great addition to any school library as it is such a high quality book in every respect.'
