Lizzie from London sent us this from her trip through France:
“This summer we drove down through France from Caen to Carcassonne and used your guide France Best Places to Eat and Stay en route. We found some great places as a result, but were surprised to find there was no hotel recommendation in Limoux. We found a super and unique hotel that you might want to include in future editions. It has no restaurant (but you recommend several so that’s not a problem) but what it does have, in its entrance hall and breakfast room, is its own little Museum of the Phonograph, packed with wonderful old machines with their amazing, decorated trumpets, as well as walls covered with kitsch and curious French record sleeves. The hotel is full of musical Art Nouveau memorabilia and furnishings, but at the same time the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Rooms are about 50 euros for a double/twin with bath and the hotel is centrally located, near the attractive old quarter. The details are:
