David Peters qualified in medicine in 1972. After training as a GP he joined with other therapists in an NHS practice where conventional and natural medicine worked side by side. In the mid 1980's he studied osteopathy before joining the team in the ground-breaking Marylebone Health Centre where he became Director of the Complementary Therapies Unit.
He is currently Clinical Director of the Centre for Community Care and Primary Health at the University of Westminster. Dr Peters was chairman of the British Holistic Medical Association from 191-96 and has written a number of books including the Encylopedia of Natural Therapies and the Complete Guide to Integrated Medicine for Dorling Kindersley.
He lives in East Sussex.
