Chris Maynard has written about 55 children's books. He won the Rhone-Poulenc Science Junior Book of the Year in 1996 (The World of Weather) and his Informania Sharks was runner up for the TES Senior Information Book Award in 1998. Amongst exhibition and copyright work, he writes magazines and booklets for Save the Children and Sightsavers to use in their work with youngsters and with schools.
He has also recently discovered the joys of writing websites for dentists, telecoms companies and for schools.
