David Lambert has written more than a dozen books about dinosaurs, including Dorling Kindersley's the Ultimate Dinosaur Book, joint winner of the Rhone-Poulenc Prize for Science Books Junior Prize in 1994. He has also written books on many other aspects of natural history and earth sciences - both prehistoric and modern. In 1990 he won a US National Science Teachers' Association Children's Book Council Award. In 1998 he received the Rhone-Poulenc Prizes for Science Books Junior Prize for The Kingfisher Book of Oceans.
